Drunk texts! We all send them. Sometimes they're mortifying ("I MISS YOOOOOOOOOOOU" to an ex) and the next day you blame your friends for not taking away your phone because HI HAVE WE MET?? I do this! Take away my fucking phone! Although, as Hedgehog is fond of pointing out, I have a tendency to disappear to the bathroom at the bar, only to return and sheepishly admit I just toilet-texted someone I was not supposed to be texting.
The other kind of drunk text is the one that, when reviewed later, is hilarious. This is why Texts From Last Night exists (although really it's become more of a "texts about last night" instead, which disappoints me a little). So here I am going to share a few of my favorite drunk texts, and I really hope I get to hear from some of you with yours!
1. "Drnk bynne!" -sent to Hedgehog. Translation: Drunk Bunneh. Turns out I'm Gaelic when I drink.
2. "Uphill is aspud!" -sent to Hedgehog. Seeee? I told you I'd explain "aspud" to you! I do not lie. Translation: Uphill is stupid!
3. "I'm drink! Sruvk. Drunk. There we go!" -sent to Desk. Luckily, he thought it was adorable.
4. "Also being aware that you're are trying tyl act normal but the cashier surely invites ultra drunk is weird" -sent to Hedgehog (same night as "aspud"). Translation: come on, this one is obvious! Clearly it says "Also being aware that you're trying to act normal but the cashier surely realizes you're drunk is weird." DUH.
5. and a bonus: this one's not a text, but I stole Hedgehog's phone and made it his Facebook status: "Hangin oout with a dfru nk bun. Eh who is trying to post this but tjis keyyboard is weird!" I went from Gaelic to Swedish! Mork mork mork!

My favorite drunk txt was actually watching someone who had waaaaaay to much to drink try and type something out on her phone. Shortly afterward our group wonder out to the parking lot to leave and she puked. Not just a little bit either. There was a small river of it.
ReplyDeleteThe other was from a friend who was in the process of buying a house and I had to give her a ride home. For most of that night she kept sending me txt msgs saying she was sorry for being that drunk. The problem was she kept forgetting she sent the message and kept sending the same apology. I turned off my phone for the night.
